Couture Skin Art! (Temporary, of course!)
I LOVE ...love Meagan, and she got these fabulous temporary skin art tattoos from Chanel, check it out:
Although I love these, there's no way I could justify forking out $75 for temporary tattoos, even if it IS Chanel! We're in a recession, people! So, I took to the Interwebs to find a bargain, and I came across StrayTats.com that lets you choose to either create your own custom temp tat, or choose from their gallery. They have a style that think would make a cute bracelet tat that I am seriously considering:
And at $1.05, I don't even have a hint of buyers remorse!!!

Popcorn Cake Pops and German Chocolate Cake Bites
YUMMM! Hubby asked for some Cake Pops for his birthday and I was really excited to deliver! I made red velvet cake pops w/ cream cheese icing and vanilla flavored candy melts for coating. And, German Chocolate cake bites with dark chocolate coating sprinkled with candied pecans. I'm glad he took these to work because otherwise I'd be 5 lbs heavier right now!
Check out these pics from the first time I made cake pops for some info on the process:
First, bake a cake according to the directions, and tear it up and put it in a big bowl. Microwave a can of icing for about 30 seconds and stir into the crumbled up cake.
Then, put the mixture in the fridge for a while, approximately 30 minutes to an hour. Remove from fridge and roll into balls and put on wax paper.
Take some lollipop sticks (you can get these at a craft store in the cake decorating section) and dip in melted candy melts, stick it in the rolled up ball of cake and then dip into melted candy melts.
Stick the pops into a cube of Styrofoam (get this in the floral section at a craft store) and let the melts harden - this usually takes about 10 - 15 minutes:
And, here's my final creation for hubby's bday!
You can use any combo of cake and icing! Check out the German Chocolate bites:
